The 'World's Coolest McDonalds'

Like most of the British public, I enjoy a good McDonalds every now and then. I've probably visited around 20 different McDonalds in my lifetime, but this was definitely the most interesting one.

We were too tired to look around for a restaurant and it was raining and a miserable day so we just googled the closest McDonalds to us. Little did we know we had just come across the 'World's Coolest McDonalds'.

We turned the corner to find ourselves faced with the golden arches which was next to...an airplane? Eh? We looked at each other very puzzled. As we got closer we came across the sign which told us what we had found and suddenly became very extremely excited by the concept of it. Of course we had to sit in and eat on the plane!

We went to get our food and then made our way up the steps onto the aircraft and found red leather chairs with tables inside. You could even go and look at the cockpit! Turns out (according to Reader's Digest) the site was previously part of a car dealership, the Aeroplane Car Company, and the owner bought a disused DC-3 plane, which sat alongside the building. When McDonald’s purchased the site in 1990, the aeroplane came with it

It was bizarre but definitely an experience to remember and also I now have the claim to fame 'I ate in the world's coolest McDonalds'.
